Huon Franklin Cottage has been fully restored to its former beauty. offering modern conveniences without loosing the old-world charm.

Both rooms are large with queen beds and ensuites, electric blankets, hairdryers, individual air-conditioning, individual comfort is also enhanced with feather pillows plus extras and duvets, luxury bath towels, TV, VCR plus a video library.

A hearty continental breakfast is arranged in our breakfast room or on the balcony over looking the Huon River a cooked breakfast (is extra) the morning paper will be there also.

We are licenced & serve evening meals (prior request)

Over 6 eating places in Franklin, The Tavern, The Lady Franklin Hotel, Bistro, Aqua Grill Seafood, plenty of choices all close by.

We also have a HOT SPA which is available free of charge for you to relax & enjoy, complimentry SPA pack, robes available.

Our mini gym fitted with a tread mill, exercise bike & weights.

We take pride in catering for your needs, if you would like a romantic stay or celebrating a special day, we can arrange something special for you. (with prior notice).

  1. Huon Franklin Cottage is situated 8 kilometers further South of Huonville (35 mins south of Hobart) .
     
     Traveling south through Franklin we are 1 klm south of the Post Office on the right on the hill over looking the lovely Huon River.
     
     The town of Franklin was the first town settled in the Huon Valley and still retains some original architectural buildings.
     
     Your stay in our cottage is close to the southern attractions, Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves, Thermal spring, Luna River Gem Stones, Glow Worm Caves, Ida Bay Railway,
     
     Take a Boat ride down the Huon River on the Southern Contessa or a jet boat ride or visit the Apple Museum and many more.
     We can arrange guided tours.
